Father Burns' Thank You

From the desk of Fr. John R. Burns, retired pastor of the St. John Parishes

I wish to thank all of my parishioners from St. John’s Parishes in Woodhull,
Galva and Cambridge.

I am very appreciative of the beautiful and well thought out gift of the portable
Altar given to me by all of you.  I continue to offer daily Mass and keep all of
you in my prayers of gratitude.  I continue to remember you as I use this priceless gift
since it is also my gratitude to the Heavenly Father and the Diocese of Peoria
that placed me in these parishes for the past 16 years

I especially want to thank the staff of all 3 parishes and in particular
Secretary Tena who has been patient with me through my retirement.
I also want to thank the trustees who I relied on many times. I miss working
with the young people in all of my parishes.  God bless you all!

My blessing and encouragement also go out to your new pastors and associates who have been generous to take up the reins.  Thank you Fr. John and
Fr. James. Maybe the next associate will be a Peter.
